Drought breaking rains have given us the best start possible spring in 14 years. Here we see the Muckelford Creek and the blue iris around the historic Corriedale Cottage, both on the Castlemaine road.

The climate is confusing and what the future seasons will bring is hard to predict. Even with heavy spring rains, soil moisture is below average and it is difficult to work out what will happen. In the meantime let us simply enjoy the arrival of rain.
